The Hogstel Gerontological Nursing Symposium: Virtual Event

 Online, three Saturday mornings in January from 10:30am to 12:00pm (CST).  Dates, speakers, topics will include:

January 16:  Dr. Anne Basting, scholar and artist, will talk about ways to engage people with cognitive disabilities and dementia.

January 23:  Teepa Snow, Occupational Therapist and international educator on dementia, will share tips for caring during a pandemic.

January 30:  Dr. Cynthia Huling Hummel, a Presbyterian pastor, author, and life-long learner, will share her inspiring story about living with dementia.

Students, faculty, family care partners, and community members welcome.

4.5 Contact Hours Available, provided by Texas Christian University – Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Texas Christian University-Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
