DESCRIPTION:The Hogstel Gerontological Nursing Symposium: Virtual Event\n Online\, three Saturday mornings in January from 10:30am to 12:00pm (CST).  Dates\, speakers\, topics will include: \nJanuary 16:  Dr. Anne Basting\, scholar and artist\, will talk about ways to engage people with cognitive disabilities and dementia.\nJanuary 23:  Teepa Snow\, Occupational Therapist and international educator on dementia\, will share tips for caring during a pandemic.\nJanuary 30:  Dr. Cynthia Huling Hummel\, a Presbyterian pastor\, author\, and life-long learner\, will share her inspiring story about living with dementia.\nStudents\, faculty\, family care partners\, and community members welcome. \n4.5 Contact Hours Available\, provided by Texas Christian University – Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
