Join us for this half-hour online activity session designed to engage people who are living at home with dementia. Each session will feature a guest presenter who will guide participants through fun and engaging activities they can do from home.
These activities will include things like music therapy, movement, arts, sing-a-longs, and social opportunities. Having a routine can be a major benefit for those with dementia, so we have chosen to offer this program five days a week! Special thanks to the United Way Area Agency on Aging grant funding for making this possible.
Our August 19 session will feature the Amon Carter Museum of American Art – Artful Moments program. Guest presenter Nancy Strickland will present a program titled Let Freedom Ring!
Artful Moments is featured weekly as part of the Dementia Friendly Fort Worth series for you to enjoy from the comfort of your home. Each week, we’ll explore different themes with conversations inspired by artists and artworks in the Carter’s collection and share stories and experiences. Additional Artful Moments dates for August are:
Wednesday, August 26 – Peggy Speir – Summertime
Wednesday, September 2 – Nancy Strickland – Portraiture in the Late 19 Century
Wednesday, September 9 – Peggy Speir – Hunting & Fishing
Wednesday, September 16 – Nancy Strickland – The Color of Fall
Wednesday, September 23 – Peggy Speir – America!
