This session is a supportive and safe environment where you can learn and share your concerns and questions after you or someone you know has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other dementia. You will hear tips from both professional and family caregiver experts about how to manage the emotional impact of receiving a diagnosis and what to expect next. Attendees will receive resources to help guide this discussion.

This month’s virtual presentation is led by a panel of community speakers from local organizations who will help you through your journey. Attendees can expect to from experts who help caregivers and persons with Alzheimer’s or dementia find resources and talk to experts who can explain and give more insight into the many programs offered in San Antonio and surrounding areas.

This month’s virtual presentation will examine and try to make sense of what’s happening in Medicare and Medicaid, including the impacts of COVID-19.

This presentation will provide an overview of Adult Protective Services (APS) programs and understanding the in’s and outs of guardianship  APS programs promote the safety, independence, and quality-of-life for vulnerable adults who are or are in danger of, being abused, neglected by self or others, or financially exploited, and who are unable to protect themselves.  Join us for this informative and interactive presentation as we discuss what you can expect from services provided by APS.
