How to Effectively Respond to Challenging Statements
Senior Helpers is excited to once again join forces with dementia care expert Teepa Snow for this informative online event.
Teepa will explain how to respond to three statements that are commonly encountered when individuals are living with brain change:
- “I want to go home!”
- “I don’t want you; I want someone else.”
- “I don’t want to do that.”
She will also explore the reasons that these statements are commonly heard when abilities begin to change and will demonstrate supportive and effective ways in which we can respond.
